Probably had air retracts! Seem to remember that some WWII planes had hand pumps in case system lost pressure. Can't beat electric on rc models.
Fantastic landing - he was flying it so slow on contact its amazing it never stalled.The pilots actions must have greatly limited the damage to the aircraft...
