Jans Scale Lysander - Maiden On Club Scale Day

It went like a rocket,amazing!

During WW2,1500 Lysanders were repaired in Bensham Lane Thornton Heath by Redwings Ltd. Redwings at one time owned Gatwick airport briefly in the 1930's and any Redwing apprentices were taught to fly as part of their training in Redwing biplanes.

Jan and Pete lived off Bensham Lane as did I but not in the same house!
