A unique model Pete it should win the next scale competition assuming nobody else can build/re-build or find another 'one off' plane---well done!

Started the Laser engine today and only needed some tuning. It ran well but the scale exhaust also makes a sort of "popping" noise in with the usual engine noise. Sounds very different - only time I heard it before was with George's Zero which has a 5 cylinder 4 stroke in it...

Due to the success of the gyro fitted within the Cougar recently I have now fitted a simple spare gyro which I had left over from my heli days into this model. Its just a simple one which can't be altered or switched off so I have just adjusted it to move a little in the hope it will just counter the torque a bit on take-off. On my own head be it...

Thanks Trev - They also did a seaplane version they tested for the Schneider Trophy which of course had floats on - could have been a better idea for this model in view of the weather this year...

UPDATE.11/11/12. Trying to do just a low speed ground run caused the model to get airborne and the reason became clear as it was tail heavy and could not be controlled. After a leveling input I cut the engine and the model came down heavy on the U/C. On inspection the U/Chas been made of just mild steel so I will be making another one out of piano wire but this is going to be a mission...
