Souther model Air Show - The Hop Farm

The model air shows is on this weekend again - I keep thinking that at £12 on the day its a lot of money - if you book in advance its £10 but you could end up with a day out in the rain...
Its not like the old Sandown venue where you could at least get out of the weather - the Hop Farm can be a total washout in the rain - even with good Wellington boots.
What do you think - am I being unfair?

"Bottom" Flying at Eastchurch Cliff & Beach.

Force 6 showing on ISSC wind gauge and as a bit late decided to try my local cliff / beach - all of 50 yards away. Took the Zagi and shoved the camera on it and first flew from right at the bottom of the cliff but then gave up with that and flew from the beach.
Interesting as I have never tried any of it here before...

My New Tiger Moth

Picked up my (second hand) Tiger Moth yesterday. Nice four stroke engine which seems to start well when I tried it - on board glow system makes it very smooth at low revs.
Not to much work needed to bring it up to scratch - just iron back some covering seams at a few points and sort out the wiring which was a mess - (flying incendiary).
A very good buy which should give a good presence in the sky.
Looking forward to seeing it fly...

Helicopter Rescue at Eastchurch.

Still very strong winds but just look at how steady he keeps the heli - real skill.

This never went on in Croydon - We missed out on a lot...

Lot's of gun's and knives but no heli's.
