Mork and Mindy in the second pic trying to work out how to do a range check on Steve's new radio. The wind got up after three flights but he really enjoyed himself and is looking forward to the next time. A good day.
Mork and Mindy indeed! ha ha. My first visit to the field and thankfully I've got a great instructor in John, definitely saved me a trip to the model shop more than once today! Thanks John for you help and advice and thanks to Sheila for the sausage roll :o) Looking forward to my next visit.
Perfect day for flying soo wanted to pop down the field as had the day off to share with my beta half... Steve welcome to the field and the club looking forward to this year myself being new to the club although i feel like i've been in the club years such a friendly bunch. Typical last cold snap we had in the week no wind come the wend blowing a gale and rain rain rain ;) Great time to train as quite it the field i had to do mine with everyone watching ;) John will look after u keep u safe just have fun Paul :)
Thanks for your kind words Paul, yes I'm very fortunate where John is concerned. It was a major benefit that it was quiet there today, much prefer it like that at this stage :o)
Your welcome :) Good time to learn u will be a pro by the summer ;) Sim helped me actually still helping me as i said b4 on the blog i hate soaps so now and then while the after half watches that dribble i can be found flying solo in multiplayer under BPMFC password same as blogs private section if any as sometimes soar with non club members ok ok normally more like crash n burn but good larf as u dont have to walk and model resets in one piece rite by your feet ;) goodluck with the training John will look after u :) Have Fun Paul :)
Dave, despite Johns great instruction, it's a bit more difficult than I imagined it'd be so don't go holding your breath on me going solo any time soon :o) It's definitely for me though, really enjoyed myself.
The lads make it look easy coz they been doing it 4 years. Ask Dave to fly the riot u wont believe wot it can do in the rite hands...It will all come together soon and as more come down to the field u will get a free airshow and good company and a good larf :) hoping to get to the field soon myself but the wind must know when every wend is this winter ! :(

Hi John
ReplyDeleteGlad to see someone at the field pics are great.
Steve you should be flying solo soon enough with John as your instructor.

ReplyDeleteNice to see the keen duo out making the most of the weather.
ReplyDeleteEarly start means early readiness.
Let's hope the weather soon improves.
Thanks for posting the pictures and well done on the tuition. Once the weather improves it will be great to get down there.
