U welcome good 2 share :) was fun as ever :) great to get out good way to still enjoy the hobby when the field is blown out :) we all had fun thank you :)
Yes, a shame we were chased off by a rain squall which blew over once we got back to our cars.
When I first arrived the wind seemed so strong that I did not think we would get the planes up. However I was assured that once the planes hit the lift after flying over the fence there was little turbulence which the video confirms. As you may have noticed I managed to get the Flair Heron to a height where stunts such as loops and that's all I did, still left plenty of room below so there was no fear of going down the slope or was there?!
Nice that the group is expanding and I found that others I did not know were equally as friendly as the BPMFC members.
i gather the chap that owns the large glider that took three to launch has two other gliders that are larger. He said as long as his wife can own and ride horses she puts up with the gliders---my wife would not!
4 sure its good to share :) as Mike said friendly bunch both us and the locals on the hill :) was worth going just 4 the free airshow :) Heron flew gr8 Mike cant wait to build my cliffwacker thing be a year or soo away they dont call me speedy 4 nothing ;) yes sloping group getting bigger well done for plugging away Peter never easy when its cold to get people interested.. :) I wasnt cold at all if it wasnt 4 that lil rain i'd quite happy to stay a bit longer ;) have fun Paul :)
Peters done well getting a lil crew together if you interested Gary contact Peter and he will let you know next time we go :) Getting a good following.. great to see new faces well new to me being the newb ;) this wend cancelled but look back at previous posts if you wanna find Peters email address to be added on the contact list :) I'm loving the sloping too Dave not quite mastered it yet but being newb i like that it helps me to use the wind and how it affects my model and if nothing else it gets us out when its too windy at the field and get to share some fun win win :) Regards Paul.
Hi both Gary and Trev. IF you wish to be on the email circulation list let me know as I send out the information to the group. Unfortunately this weekend is a no-go as both the wind direction / speed are all wrong for anywhere plus the rain... We usually go for a few hours as Paul has mentioned but if you want to be notified I need your email address. Regards Peter
