SENT DIRECT TO PAUL BUT A QUESTION MARK ON OUR EQUIPMENT I HAVE NEVER READ ANYTHING ABOUT.... Hi Paul. You were brave today. Your Rx more than likely packed up because it was too cold with the wind chill - only said that jokingly BUT I wonder what the working temperatures are for our transmitters and Rx??? I have no idea and never read anything about it but with the windchill it must have been -6C on the model in flight. Glad you got your model back as I did have one float in the water many years back as I was standing back to keep out of the wind in that “null” area which is a sweet spot when my model dived and went below the top of the cliff so I lost my line of sight view and next thing it was bobbing along on the waves. Got it back with the on shore wind but all electronics and servos buggered with the salt water... See if I can find out about the temperature range and will post this on your site entry as someone may know the temperature question as it could be an issue...
I had put both aerials pointing back in the fuz only foam i thought done a range check on the clifftop too.. took the ar400 out to put in the hurricane and brought the same receiver recommended for the efxta an orange r 618xl...atleast got me thinking about position on efxtra... had that model in the clouds seemed ok but atlest the aerials are 180° apart will look at running one out along the wing as i have done on axn now... will test run the axn at the field b4 the extra goes up again ;) axn is all fired up ready to go :) so think it was me not spectrum not orange not the cold just me not fitting it correctly :) have have see u all soon i hope :)
Axn was a blast on the cliff. Had 12 minutes and still had 70% even though i was using throttle as well as soaring flew beta than the zagi until i decided to go to southend with her ;)
