Just acquired another os55ax, now the first i put in the Edge u know the one with the nice paint job ;) now i didn't really want another but won it on fleabay so suppose i'll have to find something to put it in... so i thought we could have a lil discussion on which plane no rush as i have got two 46 - 55 planes ready and maidened for next season.
Mini Hype.
ReplyDeleteInteresting didn't even considered the mini hype will look into that. Thx
ReplyDeleteHello i know Billy said no rush but only one suggestion u making poor Billy feeling even more nom8s ;)
ReplyDeleteI keep looking at the Black Horse Chipmunk
ReplyDeleteAs i soo love watching Dave fly his... ok i know i can't fly it like Dave flies his but one day hopefully ;) think Dave has an irvine 61 in his but sure the 55 would still rock ;)
If you fancy trying a warbird, how about a Mustang, Jug, 109 or a Zero
ReplyDeleteNow finally we have a lil discussion going ;) love watching Dave slippery Dave flying his mustang deffo can't fly like he flies his and his will be bigger than mine... not that i'm hung up on size ;) would like a RAF plane being speedy'brit'
ReplyDeleteHave thought a warbird coz as much as i loved the scale day it was all day and i couldn't fly... and u know i like to fly well try ;) Now i know a 46 - 55 size artf ain't gonna win no medals but atleast i can fly on scale days... thx for the input Dave thought it would make a change to have a lil chat rather than looking at our battered cougar ;) still flying beta than ever and now have spare wing thx 2 slippery Dave :)
Have fun Paul :)
Scale day is not about the size of the plane, the judges are wanting to see your plane flown like the actual aircraft would fly.
ReplyDeleteSo if you have a small cessna say and you fly it like the aircraft flys then thats you in the running.

I only ask because i can't do it at mo.. ;) soz old jokes are the best lol...

Still not really had many suggestions for the airframeless engine... as i said no rush... i will just have to nag everyone at the AGM for suggestions ;)
Mini hype will prop hang in fact ive seen Steve H land his one upside down!!!
ReplyDeleteWell i deffo can't fly like steve!!! Perhaps i'll just potter about with my unowot ;) mind u i've landed my cougar upside down so there is hope for me yet! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Speedy Brit, here's few I'd consider putting that engine in:
ReplyDeleteI love this plane and with flaps it should able to land on a dime: http://www.tjdmodels.com/black-horse-bird-dog-artf-p-1607.html?cPath=12_30_80&page=2
Here's another STOL plane but may need a bigger engine: http://www.tjdmodels.com/black-horse-pzl104-wilga-61-artf-p-8407.html?cPath=12_30_80&page=4
These are nice, no need to worry about the retractable undercarriage: http://www.tjdmodels.com/seagull-grob-tutor-g115-61-sea144-p-4398.html?cPath=12_30_80&page=7
And your favourite: http://www.tjdmodels.com/seagull-super-chipmunk-1600mm-sea120-p-5087.html?cPath=12_30_80&page=7
Happy choosing 😃
Thx John :) the super chipmunk i've looked at like that and the raf one 2. The others are all planes i've not considered but will review them all :)

ReplyDeleteNow Dave said a cessna and i do have two os55ax's ;)
Yeah, that Cessna's very nice, although I struggle to get 1 engine running well, let alone 2 at once! It would be good practice though :-)
