Well us old modellers that were brought up on three shillings and nine pence Keil Kraft kits can fix most things made of balsa
The Cougar was deemed beyond repair so here is a picture so far of the impossible taking place. Only an hour separates the photographs!
Yippee can't believe it thx Mike u are deffo a rc legend :) not gonna land in the cows field no more think that cow loved my plane more than me didn't wanna give it back. So happy thx again Mike :) x
ReplyDeleteFantastic Mike so quick too
ReplyDeleteI meant a 'Herd of Cows'!
ReplyDeleteThe fuselage does need reinforcement but at least all the broken parts went together to give the right shape. I will fit some internal thin ply to strengthen it and make sure the front bulkhead is well secured with Epoxy glue. The tailplane seemed to have been trampled on and some of the flattened strip balsa will need replacement and hence recovering part of it will be necessary, as is the case with the fuselage.
More photos to follow before the official hand-over-wife not so impressed!
