I wonder if members know how much goes on even after an event is finished - This year was even harder due to the rain but you will see things are not left as they need sorting...
And your committee and a few members just do it.

Driving On The Field

Members can drive to the field, but must not enter the events field as the entrance is still very wet. Please be carful and avoid the wet patches. If you leave a mark, can you please take responsibility to tidy it up. Many Thanks

As you are all aware the entrance to the field is in a bit of a mess. Can we currently avoid driving on to the field untill further notice.

Rain - Flying Spectacular 2012

Saturday we had heavy rain which lasted all day and all night and caused many floods in the south east of England however you will get a glimpse in this short video what we got up to.

Avro Lancaster - Flying Spectacular 2012

NOSTALGIA - It was 20 years ago when people last saw an Avro Lancaster fly from the Bartons Point Flying Club field (Sheerness 1992). Now 20 years later we are honored to see another Avro Lancaster fly and hear its four engines roar over the same bit of grass again...
Mike Donnelley (MWM Warbirds) flew his plane so well it's a credit to his piloting skills. If you listen you will hear onlookers clapping without any prompting - such are the feelings this fantastic model generates in people...

A Big Thank you

I would like to say a big thank you to those members and the non members who gave up their time to help out at the Spectacular, especially those that went beyond the call of duty.
After a very wet Saturday, Sunday was a huge success and a great time was had by all that attended.

Our flying field has now had 3 x 8 hour stints with a vibrating 2.5 Ton road roller to get the bumps out.
Many thanks to all who gave up their time to help drive that thing - sore bums for all were a free gift.
All members will notice the difference.
