What's the situation with the car parking area and field generally ? I was hoping for a weather improvement to pay a visit, but it looks like I will need a float plane?
Mike, water skiing in the car park is unrestricted, boats need to pay 2.oo per day, submarines are free, as all ways no running or bombing, suitable trunks only. (no speedos)
I have always wanted this model but I was told that as a club member I could not fly from the boat house lake BUT now we are getting our own freshwater lake we can stock it with fish, sell tickets and I can fly my plane - this guy flies it "at 100 miles per hour". see link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=1TTRBx8l_vY
Well I blame the club management for this situation and especially the island locals, they just do not know how to cope with droughts. I would suggest the next time rain is forecast all local club members should shelter the field with umbrellas all day and night if necessary. And the most qualified mud shifter Dean should also take action!
Slip,

We were there Monday Mike and the parking area was like a lake, so we parked on the bank and carried our gear to the pits.

Well that guy flew the PBY like a fly round a cow pat!
ReplyDeleteNow I know why the chap on the RCM&E web site wanted details of floats for his Twinstar!
I assume for health and safety reasons the club will be issuing water wings for all non-swimmers?
Dam the water wings - I want a LiLo
