Top of the pile.
The modern 50 size heli market is a competitive, tough & cutthroat business. With the imminent arrival of Thunder Tiger's brand new 50-class CCPM heli. "The X50 is here !
It certainly makes the " Top of the pile " on my wish list. When funds allow will it be the X50 or the 3D+ from compass ? Any guess where my funds will go ? ;-)

Best free Heli sim out there.
Ok probably most of us at some point have downloaded & tried one or more of the "free flight sims" that are out there yeah ? Only to be disappointed once you have tried them ! :-( . . . Surfing for other blogger sites the other day I came across this one; http://rc-heli-world.blogspot.com/ Where I found this Free Flight Sim; http://www.marksfiles.net/HeliSimRC/SetupHeliSimRC20.exe Its certainly no match for the likes of "Aerofly Pro Deluxe" (My Fav) or "Phoenix" But it most definitely beats them for price as its Free ! Try it & see for your self, you can download and install it with no obligation whatsoever, in this present economic climate that has got to make it the best deal ! :-) :-) :-)

update Bio fuel
Atom 500 SportX Tools/Aftermarket Contact
Projects supported by Compass Model
Compass is excited to announce the Bio-Odin project
Using a stock Odin we have specially modified a 91 engine to run on clean green fuel based
on ethanol. Utilising a special carburetor 50% less fuel consumption is achieved resulting in
flight times of 20-30 minutes. Although ethanol based fuels result in 20% less power the
existing power to weight ratio ensures comparable nitro engine performance in the 90 sized
heli and this will be further enhanced by the forthcoming Odin flybarless. Whilst this is a
work-in-progress Compass expects units to be commercially available later this year and think
this may provide a sound ecologically based alternative to electric junkies and petrol heads.;o))
